Coal Rebellion Party!

XR Ōtautahi is launching a new rebellion.

We are celebrating our launch with a party—and we want to see you there! Join us, as we declare a Rebellion Against COAL. We will rebel against the use and extraction of coal in Aotearoa—the climate is in crisis, enough is enough.

We invite you to join us as fellow stewards of our lands; the kaitiaki of Ōtautahi. Together we will celebrate the end of coal with music, merriment, and midwinter refreshments.

We have invited organizations involved with high coal usage in Ōtautahi to attend this party. We want to know what their strategy is to move away from coal into clean energy, and to let them know that this is an absolute priority. We’ll also be telling a story of what was lost in the fight against coal in Aotearoa, and what we have left to save.

So come along, dance to sick DJ spun beats, meet other like-minded individuals, and let the officials know that it is vital to YOU that they leave dirty coal in the ground.
