Edible Paradise Growing the Food Forest Revolution
21 June at 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
A film by Rich Humphries for The Localising Food Project
This brand new film covers the expanding range of local food producing initiatives throughout Aotearoa New Zealand, with a particular emphasis on protecting heritage fruit trees and engaging communities in using public land for improving public nutrition and building community. It also covers the efforts of a range of community gardeners, sustainability advocates and others to turn a crisis (the earthquakes) into an opportunity to turn Christchurch into an Edible Garden City. The film is both engaging and inspiring, offering real solutions based on practical caring for land and people.
