“Protected Areas 2050: Towards implementing a 2050 vision for the protected Areas of Aotearoa/New Zealand”.
PA2050 brings together key thinkers and speakers to investigate a vision for Aotearoa/New Zealand’s protected areas. Our aim is for the symposium will dentify the key issues and challenges, and help set a research agenda that can support the country’s protected areas goals and values. For this we need researchers, policy makers, mana whenua, government and non-government agencies, not-for profit’s, and other professionals to discuss their perspectives on future options for protected areas.
Speakers include the Hon Eugenie Sage (Minister of Conservation and Land Information), Lou Sanson, Jamie Tuuta, Jacinta Ruru, Chris Roberts, Peter Cochrane, Kerry Prendergast and Kennedy Warne. More details are on the attached programme.
