Envirohub and friends invite you on a bird watching bike ride from Ferrymead to Sumner with Guest Speaker, Tanya Jenkins!
“Why our Estuary is of International Significance; and the extraordinary birds who share it with us.”
This is a gentle bike ride, to enjoy the wildlife who share our city.
We will stop on the way and we have an amazing opportunity to talk with Tanya Jenkins manager of the Avon Heathcote Estuary Ihutai Trust.
There will also be some activities to help people improve their bird spotting and identification skills and we encourage anyone with binoculars, to bring them along.
A fun event for all ages (children under 14 years must have an adult with them).
