Te Ara Kākāriki Plantout

ABOUT THE DAY: You will plant at two sites. One site will be a new greendot site and one will be at an existing greendot providing the opportunity to see some older seedlings. An ecologist will lay out plants in the morning and speak about the site and why we are planting, followed by a planting demonstration.
TRANSPORT: Buses will pick you up between 8am and 8.45am, pick up points are listed in the online registration form.
WE PROVIDE: All tools including spades, mallets and gloves although you are welcome to bring your own if you wish.
FOOD: Lunch and snacks will be provided along with drinking water. Dietary restrictions can be advised of at the time of registration.
At the end of the day we will all gather for a sit down dinner in a hall.
PLEASE BRING, a sunhat and drink bottle. Wear sturdy footwear and bring clothes suitable for all weather scenarios.
