Te Ara Kākāriki Public Planting

This year we will be hosting four public plantout days in Spring – Postponement dates will be the following weekend. Details for how to register will be on the website the month before planting.
Sunday August 23rd: Public planting at Stackwoods Bend / Old Tai Tapu Road adding to Ladbrooks School’s three years of planting along the Huritini/Halswell River. This site has previously been funded by the community through Million Metres Streams and this additional planting has been made possible through Environment Canterbury Immediate Steps funding
This will be a self drive day with snacks and drinks provided. BYO lunch, warm clothing and sturdy footwear.
Saturday September 5th: Full plantout day in Lincoln and Tai Tapu
Buses will pick up participants from stops around Christchurch about 9am and return them to their stop by 5pm. Lunch/Snacks and drinks all provided.
Sunday September 20th: Full plantout day in Springfield including the public gravel pit site.
Buses will pick up participants from Christchurch to Springfield around 9am and return them to their stops by 5pm. Lunch/Snacks and drinks all provided.
Saturday October 3rd: Public planting day at two sites in West Melton
A self drive event beginning at 10 and finishing by 4pm. BYO lunch.

Postponement dates are the weekend after each date.
