The Climate Challenge

29/06/2019 at 8:30 am - 30/06/2019 at 5:00 pm

Climate change is the biggest issue we as a generation face – so it’s time for high school students to have their voices heard! The Climate Challenge is a youth-for-youth organisation which runs conferences across the country, to date for over 1000 young leaders.

The Christchurch Climate Challenge Conference will empower you to be an innovative climate leader, igniting passion, developing skills and understanding, and connecting you with your passionate peers and New Zealand’s leaders. The conferences are unique because they are run by young people, for young people, and are open to all high schoolers. Previous leadership and climate change experience is not required – just a passion for making a difference!
The Christchurch conference will include a range of inspiring speakers, skills workshops, interactive simulations, an MP panel, and much more! It will be held on the 29th and 30th of June (8:30am to 5pm on both days) at the University of Canterbury Rehua building.

The ticket price for the two days is $25; this includes all food and everything else you’ll need for the weekend. Registrations close on June 23rd, so be in quick!
