Water Water Water! And soil?
13 August at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Sustainable Ōtautahi-Christchurch (SOC) want to see rivers, streams and lakes around our region with excellent ecological health – swimmable and alive. As well as safe and accessible water supplies for people. Colleen (Chairperson of SOC) is to be part of the ecosystems health and biodiversity task group, which is part of the Canterbury Water Management Strategy (CWMS) Fit for Future project, tasked with the development of CWMS goals for 2025 and 2050.
- What would you like to say to such a task group if you were in Colleen’s position?
- What do you think of the CWMS overall?
- What pathways do you think SOC should take to get the waterways we are aiming for?
While this meeting is a discussion about water in Canterbury we have a special guest visitor from the Hawkes Bay, Sam Lang (farmer, climate activist), who will share some thoughts particularly about regenerative agriculture.
