Protecting Our Rivers – Weedbusters work – Arthur’s Pass

9 November at 8:00 am - 12 November at 5:00 pm

Please join us for our annual volunteer event at Arthur’s Pass to help this small alpine community with the enormous amount of work they do to preserve the high conservation values of the area.

As well as offering practical, hands-on help, we hope to spread the message about the impact of Russell lupins, and other weed species, on the alpine and braided-river ecosystems.

Date: Saturday 9th – Tuesday 12th November 2019
Time: working bees will run from 9.30am-12noon and 2.30pm-5pm.
Where: Arthur’s Pass. Meet at the Community Centre on School Road (up past the old school and four houses along).
How long: You are welcome to come for as long or short a time as you like – one working bee to four days!

For more information and to register your interest, email info@sustainablechristchurch.org.nz .

Some accommodation will be available. The Arthur’s Pass Outdoor Education centre has been booked for Saturday 9th November. To enquire about accommodation options please email: HFairbairn@cvnz.org.nz. The event will be self-catering, but some meals may be arranged as community events.
